ok, maybe you're doing the script thing wrong. you can throw that list of commands i suggested in your .xinitrc and it should all work, or you can create a file called something like ~/.bbstartup, put all the commands in there and then call ~/.bbstartup from your .xinitrc instead. i know both of these work because i (and i'm sure just about everyone else on the list) uses one or both method. > do you not find with that that setup that the pager and load monitor > load on top of each other... do you know how to stop that?.... if you start them manually in blackbox do they go to that location? i have mine configured to go where i want them in their individual rc files, so i dont get the stacking (except when restarting blackbox, which is another story). > if i use the argument -w it puts it into the slit, which i cant get to > go horizontally... is there a way to get the slit to be horizontal? > anybody? > in your ~/.blackboxrc change "session.screen0.slit.direction: Vertical" to "session.screen0.slit.direction: Horizontal". right clicking on the toolbar and selecting 'placement' will give you more specific placement options.
