My Safari bookmarks are displayed in Quicksilver in the folders I have arranged them in, but in Firefox they're just in a long list - is this normal? I tend to use Firefox so this is kind of annoying.
Yeah, it's just a difference in the support the plugins provide. If you right-arrow into the browser.app it could be annoying, but I tend to just type the bookmark name into the first pane and let the QS matching algorithm find what I'm looking for. Faster, and it should behave similarly for both.
I use Safari over Firefox for two main reasons. One the QS plugin support is better (cataloging the browser history is very nice). The other is that Safari supports OS X's builtin popup dictionary. Highlight a word, hit control-command-D, you'll see what I mean. I'd use Firefox if I also worked on other platforms or did web development, fortunately that's not the case for me.
Also, Safari bookmarks with Chinese names display fine but Firefox ones don't - also annoying. Any idea how to fix this?
Don't know. Howard
