I'm a long time user of QS. In the past to have a search engine usable in QS I would search for "***" and then bookmark that page. QS would somehow index my bookmarks and recognize that bookmark as a QS search. Ever since upgrading to snow leopard I've lost that functionality.
Well, today I decided I wanted it back. I deleted QS and all prefs and previous application support folders/files. Installed a fresh copy (B56a7 3825). Installed the websearch plugin, went to catalog > modules > and activated web searches and then restarted. Now when I invoke QS and type "goo", I get Google search and the action is "open URL" where it used to be "search for..." and a text field I could tab into. Any thoughts on how to get "search for..." to be the default action for the web searches? And is it still possible to bookmark a search engine result of *** to make new web searches (I realize that the search string needs to be in the url but most modern search engines do this). Thanks in advance.
