Refresh my memory. In the past, I could have sworn that when navigating the
filesystem, if you type a couple of characters, the results list would be
trimmed to only include items that match. Handy when you want to “select all”
such files.

Now, it takes me to a file that matches what I typed (not necessarily the first
match), but all the other files are still in the list. Was it always like this?

When I went to 10.6, I did a clean install and reconfigured everything. Maybe I
missed a pref somewhere? (But the list *is* narrowed down when I initially
invoke QS and start typing in the first pane.)

I'm using b54 on 10.6.2. I noticed this prior to 10.6.2 but am just now getting
around to asking about it.

Don't try to tell me a thing is important to you if the whole of your “support”
entails forcing others to spend time and money on it.
