Must be Safari 5.

This is definitely an Apple bug that they've overlooked in the upgrade to
Safari 5

It's just AppleScript that puts the attachment in the message, so the
AppleScript command 'make new attachment' now adds a black box round the
attachment.

Submitting a bug to Apple now.
