I can't get it to start up

I am trying to use Quicksilver but when I double click on it, I see a
fast QS sort of image come and go in the middle of my screen or it
might be appearing in the middle of a blank web page - hard to tell it
happens so fast. Then nothing. It does not appear to be running
anywhere.
I tried looking at Console logs but it stumps me.
