Look in your catalogue for any and all Web Search List entries. There
is the entry called "Web Searches (from docs.blacktree.com)" in the
Modules section of the catalogue, and there may be some "Web Search
List" entries in the Custom section.

If you are using only the one in the modules section, that might be
the source of the problem; if blacktree.com has a hiccup, that list
can get messed up. I personally don't use that entry at all, because
it simply clogs up my catalogue.

If you are using any custom web search lists, make sure that they are
activated in the catalogue, and that the desired search engines within
it are activated.

If you've checked all this, and it still isn't working, then make a
custom web search list entry, and in the Source Options section of the
info drawer create a new source called "Google Search" with the URL
http://www.google.com/search?q=*** and the Encode setting set to
"Unicode (UTF-8)"
