PROBLEM SOLVED: I restored the ~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/ Triggers.plist from before the problem arose. All is well with the old trigger, but I still don't seem to be able to add a new script to the mix. I do see that the plist really needs to be purged -- it's full of old stuff that I no longer use.
