Application found on external drive only

I'm finding that for some applications, when I search in QS, it finds
those apps on my external hard drive (where I have a complete backup)
but when it comes to the internal it shows the name with "(Catalog)"
after it and clicking on that just opens QS catalog.  I've tried
refreshing the catalog but doesn't help.  Any suggestions?  Thanks
