I don't know jack about Cocoa development and can't even keep a
straight face when I tell someone I'm a coder (I can code a bit of C++
but I'm a web-developer) but it excites me that there might be a group
of people wiling to get together and fix this (once) awesome piece of
software. I had given up on QS a while ago because of the "dead"
status of it but would do a happy dance if things got back under
development.

Whoever becomes the savior of Quicksilver is my hero and I'm sure the
hero of thousands and thousands of others. With the release of 10.7
Lion imminent I have a feeling it's either feast of famine for
Quicksilver.
