If you open up the Quicksilver preferences, and click the 'actions' preferences, you should a 'type' in the left hand column called URLs. Click on that, and make sure the 'search for...' action is above the 'Open URL' action. This means that the 'Search For...' action will be the default action for your search URLs as opposed to the 'Open URL' action. While you're in the actions preferences, it may be worth having a read of the text there :)
