Disabling the Contacts plug-in worked for me to solve the problem when it 
started after upgrading to Mavericks.  Here's how to disable: I'm no expert 
but I would suggest removing the Contacts plugin from ~/Library/Application 
Support/Quicksilver/PlugIns. Actually I believe it's the one named 
com.blacktree.Quicksilver.QSAddressBookPlugIn.179.qsplugin.
