That does not sound at all like the normal behaviour. It appears that the 
problematic entries are being matched as strings of text rather than as 
file objects.

My guess about the cause is that something is weird in the way that your 
catalogue is set up. Test your example again, but choose Show Source in 
Catalog as the action in the second pane. This will open QS's catalogue and 
reveal the source for the problematic entry. Report back here with what you 
find when you do this, and we'll be able to go from there.
