Thanks Rob.

The answer to your first question is Yes - when I was typing google into
the first pane, the pane then populates with my existing safari bookmark
for www.google.com. Consequently second pane (where an action/command will
go) does NOT show the *Search For* action. I am sorry that I failed to see
that error in my post.

Because of this behavior, I then went about making a custom search.

Regarding your advice on pulling up my custom search - after I initially
created it, my custom search would not appear in the choice list after i
typed "google" into the first pane (I scrolled down looking for it). That
behavior must have been an indexing issue(?). I guess the indexes
refreshed, because after restarting my machine today the custom search does
appear as a match choice after typing "google", and I've been able to set
it as the default. It results in the "Search With...." command populated
into the 2nd pane, and the interface is queued for text input in the 3rd
pane. Sweet.

Again, thanks. I'll mark this query as complete - it is from my
perspective.

- Bob

I want to use the "Search For...." command, thought I have Google.com
bookmarked in Safari. So typing "google" in the first quicksilver pane
immediately populates with the bookmark. Entering the second pane does
give "Search For.." as a command option.

Did you mean to say it “does not” show the *Search For…* action?
