problem is - as most other hardware those modems come with a windblowz only 
program, which configures access to the 3g network, utilizing provider's 
settings.
is there any linux equivalent?

I found some generic references that this device works in linux  
[url=http://tuxmobil.org/linux_on_laptops_with_umts_cards.html]here[/url], but 
I see no software to initiate the connection.

any ideas?
