They will possess a well-rounded background in various backup/recovery technologies. This candidate will work closely with the Storage Area Network team. The candidate will promote cross training between the SAN and Backup areas Position is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and support Networker / Data Domain backup system infrastructure. The responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to, overall architecture and stability of the backup infrastructure, creation of SLA’s that meet business and legal requirements, ensuring all new data is backed up, monitor daily backup jobs for failures or issues and correct these issues accordingly, maintain rotation of backup tapes to off-site storage, performing operating system upgrades, capacity planning, and performance analysis as it relates to day-to-day operations, ensuring that all required company data is backed up according to company policies and SLA’s.
