I have poppler 0.5.1 and kdegraphics 3.5.2. No trouble. kpdf works well.
(Originally had major issues with kpdf in 3.5.0 where font lookup often
resulted in "text not displayed at all", which is why I tried the
development 0.5.1, which didn't help. This was solved in 3.5.1 by a
change to kpdf)
