Updated in r7006.
There's actually an optional socks dependency, but it requires some
hacking to work. It wants to use libsocks5.so. There's a libsocks.so from
Dante that provides the interface it wants, but it doesn't have the right
filename. I'm just leaving it out for now since it would take a mouthful
of an explanation for something that's not even in the book.
