This ticket is simply too convoluted to understand for my
feeble mind. I have not encountered this issue. As far as
PKG_CONFIG_PATH, users are told to adjust this if GNOME goes
into anything other than /usr.
Closing as works for me. Perhaps if it really is an issue,
the ticket could be made to explain the problem, and not
all the explanations of what might or might not work.
