Samba seems to be needed by xffm. The book splits the packages into base and extras. xffm is one of those "extras". If there is a dependency for one of the extras, should it be listed in the book as an optional or is the book attempting to only cover deps for the base? If the book is covering all the packages, then a2ps is also required.
