Hi, I've opened a bug about the new version of OpenSSL (http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/1838). There have been API changes in this version, so it's important that it's tested against applications that depend on it. I have tested it against various packages, but not the breadth of those in BLFS.
I would like to ask those in the community if they have run packages against the new 0.9.8a version. Most importantly, I want to know about the major servers (apache, postfix, etc.), but any contribution would be great. If you prefer, you can add information to the bug. Below is a list of reverse dependencies I got doing some grepping on the BLFS sources. Some may be false positives as I only checked if they linked to the openssl page. fetchmail nail mutt pine slrn wvstreams curl ntp wget subversion links w3m lynx bind-utils ethereal nmap gnupg stunnel heimdal cyrus-sasl kdepim kdenetwork kdelibs kdebase dillo balsa orbit2 gnome-vfs gnome-vfs1 soup lprng cups openldap qpopper exim courier postfix sendmail postgresql mysql apache vsftpd bind openssh libesmtp perl-modules python ruby php Thanks for your help, -- Dan -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
