<Snip all good suggestions>
Also, in the configuration section, we have:
ln -v -nsf jdk-1.5.0_05 /opt/jdk/jdk
I think that should be
ln -v -nsf jdk-1.5.0_06 /opt/jdk/jdk
^
I like all but this last one... The text above the symlink says "For
example if you decide to use the source compiled JDK..." The source
compiled version is still update 5 because Sun has failed to provide the
new version.
This is as far as I've gotten so far, but some changes need to be made
to clarify the instructions. I'll be glad to do it after I complete the
build and verify that it works or you can do it.
Comments?
Please go ahead and do them if you can, if not I'll get to them in the
next day or two.
As far as the missing java version, I've made a little noise upstream on
that, but nothing has come of it. The turnaround time for bug
acceptance is 3 weeks, starting March 4th 2006 when I reported it
through the normal channels. My first attempt was with the project
owner who immediately (not 10 minutes after I sent the first e-mail!)
said he'd look into it and then never got back with me again (Jan 25th).
I don't think it's gonna matter too much longer. 6.0 is in beta now.
Thanks.
