Subject: Re: PDL build failure with perl-5.8.8 - correction

Hi,
It has just come to my attention that the latest CVS source of PDL is
currently unavailable unless you have developer status. With anonymous
login, you apparently get a version that is a little out of date. This (very
unsatisfactory) state of affairs will continue until around the end of
April. See http://sourceforge.net/docs/A04/ .

So the version of PDL you get from anonymous login might not include the
patch that works around the ExtUtils::MakeMaker problem. It's a simple fix
to implement, however. Afaik, it's just a matter of inserting 'use blib;'
near the start of Demos/BAD_demo.pm.PL and Demos/BAD2_demo.pm.PL.

Cheers,
Rob
