Just a note; with Gnome-2.14.2 and now Gnome-2.14.3 (altough it can be applyed to all Gnome-x.xx.x using Bonobo) with the current instrs. we find in /etc/gnome/2.14.x/bonobo-activation/ a file called bonobo-activation-config.xml that is used by Bonobo to look at the servers-dirs. The file by default, between the searchpath tags, has directory examples, IMO I think that a
<item>/opt/gnome-2.14.x/lib/bonobo/servers</item> should be added to include the dir where the servers are placed. Anyway it's just a simple report and opinion of mine in case Randy would like to look through this...
