Audio File-0.2.6 should have it's m4 fixed, the distros patch it.
averting this warning on every invocation of aclocal:
warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_AUDIOFILE
run info '(automake)Extending aclocal'
or see blah ...
this sed could be prepended to the instructions:
sed -i 's:AM_PATH_AUDIOFILE,:[AM_PATH_AUDIOFILE],:' audiofile.m4
