FWIW I have a Wacom tablet and I used to install xf86-input-wacom but
lately it's not been needed, it works fine with xf86-input-evdev.
It needs a couple of kernel options:
CONFIG_INPUT_TABLET=y
CONFIG_TABLET_USB_WACOM=y
