I think it is an install error in dbus because not all files needed to build other packages are installed from the book. Relying on the bootscript to create a file needed to build another package is, at the least, inconvenient. Yes, I know the bootscript can be run at any time, but there is no implied instruction to start a bootscript immediately after it is installed.
