OK, I had always used those switches and my scripts have them.  I also use:


--with-ignore-dot        \
--with-all-insults       \
--enable-shell-sets-home \
--enable-noargs-shell    \
--disable-root-sudo      \
--with-logfac=auth       \

but those are completely optional.

I did remove the pam and sendmail switches and the build was fine.  Too 
much history there.  I'll remove them from the book.
