This is almost all. Unfortunately, the binaries do not have the > certificates, almost sure they need to be corrected. Shall I do it or > wait for a future release? I created anew patch, icedtea-2.4.1-add_cacerts-2.patch, and rebuilt the x86_64 version. The certs seems to be generated fine. The numbers for this build: 5256.0 Elapsed Time - icedtea-2.4.1 SBU=47.351 4708 /usr/src/openjdk/icedtea-2.4.1.tar.gz size (4.597 MB) 8481672 kilobytes build size (8282.882 MB) md5sum : cbdefd7d385c61a457924bfbee87e643 /usr/src/openjdk/icedtea-2.4.1.tar.gz $ java -version java version "1.7.0_40" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.4.1) (Linux From Scratch build 1.7.0_40-b31) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.0-b50, mixed mode) Lets just leave the binaries as they exist right now, I'll update the numbers in the book including those about file size you mentioned earlier. I did see the suggestion from DJ about adding the cert shell script to /opt/jdk, but I'm going to hold off on that for a week or so.
