I'd forgotten you said that, but I now remember. At that time I had assumed LXDE was in, or was going to be in, the book - I knew nothing about it and assumed it was a single package. Now I look at it, I see there are more than 20 packages: http://sourceforge.net/projects/lxde/files/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/pcmanfm/files/ What caused you to notice ibus is needed for LXDE ? I'm having difficulty understanding why keeping this one package is beneficial for LXDE users.
