I do not know if I "can". :-) But agree that something to avoid confusion should be done. However, hoping for some future development that could bring it completely back to the book, I think that maintaining the structure almost as is would be desirable. Perhaps just change the title to something such as Libraries and Applications from GNOME. Or, better yet: Libraries and Applications from GNOME to KDE, XFCE and LXDE. Not sure. And modify the introduction. From "This section contains required packages for the GNOME applications to build and function properly. We don't provide any desktop related packages due to dependency on Systemd which BLFS doesn't support." To: "The objective of the following section is not to build a GNOME desktop, because it depends on Systemd which BLFS doesn't support. Rather, it is to provide packages required for some agnostic GNOME applications to build and run properly under any Window Manager (e.g. Fluxbox, Icewm, Openbox, Sawfish) or Desktop Environment (e.g. KDE, XFCE, LXDE)." Of course, these are suggestions and need improvement. Or other suggestions, such as the one by Igor, above. -- []s, Fernando -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
