I'm not going to win that.  Even though I built my basic desktop on
i686 last week, I very much doubt that I would ever install TeX
there.  So your note that it is i386 instead of i686 will be useful
to anyone using it on i686.

 Actually, I don't think I'm likely to touch TeX at all in the near
future - whenever I have installed it, the more evolved extensions
partly work, but none of the online examples I have found ever work
out-of-the-box for me.  I'm still mindful that we do not build one
of the parts of TeX in the book (I think I build it when I build from
source, with an extra dependency, but I've never managed to make it
work).  There is a ticket if anybody cares.
