So I have new homework for the weekend.
[ snipping comments on thunderbird, which I don't use ] For me, firefox-31 seems to work ok for me (LFS-7.5, and LFS-svn from 14th May with gcc-4.9.0). Xulrunner / firefox too (a different 7.5 system). Normally, I update sqlite, nspr, nss when I update firefox. Last night I forgot how old my local copy of the book was (about 8th July, with nss-3.16.1) until I was forced to address that :) But before that, firefox's Python build system fell apart because I have always built Python before openssl. I'm always worried about updating Python and possibly breaking things, but 2.7.x versions seem to all drop into a directory versioned as 2.7, so all seems good. Needed libpng-1.6.10 too - the last time I had to update that on old systems was for ff-27. Looks as if I'm going to be taking a break from my scripts to control ffmpeg for processing my video clips, to deal with the ff-31 ticket. Might take a while (two builds with -j1 on separate systems, to test the two variants). ĸen -- Nanny Ogg usually went to bed early. After all, she was an old lady.
