With regards to the build order, apart from what I introduced into the
systemd branch for gnome and adding a build order page, the packages
themselves throughout the BLFS book are actually already listed in the
order that they should be built in.

The only real issues you would have is in jumping through to differnet
sections/chapters of the book.

A good rule of thumb would be to start at the beginning of say xorg
section and follow that section through in order from top to bottom.  You
will find that you pull in different other sections of the book by doing
this but overall that is the way that the other long term editors have
created things.
