Yes, that makes sense, especially for md5sum. URL more or less, it's
not like they change a lot (if at all). I found it a bit hard to
look for md5's in the big xml file when updating.
If you used vim, searching for a md5sum would be trivial.

Searching for a md5sum to change for a single package in a file with
several md5sums and packages and hundreds of lines isn't trivial no
matter what you use.
Unless you already know what the md5sum is of course, in which case
it's trivial.
