I have committed preliminary instructions to build the KDE Plasma5
desktop. It requires, at least:
KDE Frameworks-5.15.0, libinput-1.1.0, libpwquality-1.3.0, and
Mesa-11.0.4 built with Wayland-1.9.0
I've added all of these to the book. The preliminary instructions for
Plasma5 are at:

KDE Frameworks seems to run OK. For instance I can build
konsole-15.08.2 using kf5 and qt-5.5.1 and it works fine in non-plasma5
window managers.
All the Plasma5 packages build without complaint.
The problem is that when I run, /opt/kf5/bin/startkde, I initially get a
black screen and a cursor. After a while, I get a white screen, but
nothing else. The precise way I am trying to run this is with
~/.xinitrc that contains:
ck="ck-launch-session dbus-launch --exit-with-session"
exec $ck /opt/kf5/bin/startkde
I cannot find any log, but this is what the hanging process list looks like:
