For new readers: this started when I wondered what had happened to konqueror in the move to kf5: turns out neither that nor the rekonq fork are still being developed. That means the only useful qt5 browser is QupZilla. We were heading to the package freeze for 8.0 at the time, so I didn't mention it until we had more time for discussion.
We have QupZilla listed under lxqt, although it is not part of that. When I looked at chapter 42 it mentioned 'a wonderful selection of browsers' so I proposed moving QupZilla there, and mentioning both epiphany and midori. But the consensus seems to be to move all three to that chapter, with dummy pages in the gnome and xfce chapters mentioning the browser and poiting to it. Then, juffed was mentioned - again, just an editor, not really part of lxqt. So that could move to the Editors chapter, and its dep of QScintilla could move to e.g. X Libraries (needs QT, that pulls in X). I've raised #8971 for this, people can comment here or on the ticket, either about these proposed moves or about any other packages which they think are misplaced. ĸen -- `I shall take my mountains', said Lu-Tze. `The climate will be good for them.' -- Small Gods -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
