The intel ucode link in the book appears to be obsolete. The
version we link to doesn't have a note that there is a newer
version, but at the side there _is_ a newer version, from March.
And if you click on _that_, it tells you there is a newer version,
but goes back to the old one.

The microcde against zombieload seems to be on github.

Trying to copy from the page gives me
https://github.com/intel/Intel-Linux...0190514.tar.gz which doesn't
sound very likely to be a working link. The repo within intel at
github is called Intel-Linux-Processor-Microcode-Data-Files and the
notes suggest it covers everything from SandyBridge onwards.

Probably needs a kernel version from today as well - I'm not up to
speed with whatever has been released in the last few hours.

More fun for intel users, particularly those in VMs on shared
machines.

I've seen a report that intel say their latest hardware doesn't need
an update, bu that someone behind the 'discovery' disputed that. No
idea.

Before the universe began, there was a sound. It went: "One, two, ONE,
two, three, four" [...] The cataclysmic power chord that followed was
the creation of time and space and matter and it does Not Fade Away.
