Got no reported build problem.
I guess it is not needed anymore (as we are using Gcc-9.1.0).
I propose the sed adjustment directive to be removed from book.

We had a counter-report to this that made it so we had to bring that sed
back in in July.
I'm not certain if it's still valid though
