Hi guys!

I got through fetchmail, postfix, procmail, cone, sylpheed (going to
look at bioth). Sorry to dissappoint afficianados of mutt, pine, elm,
Ecvolution, kmail, etc. I fell on the last hurdle - SpamAssassin.

Under CPAN

Warning: prerequisite Digest::SHA1 0 not found.
Warning: prerequisite HTML::Parser 3.24 not found.
Writing Makefile for Mail::SpamAssassin
Makefile written by ExtUtils::MakeMaker 6.17
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /usr/src/Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.3]#

It downloads them and throws up a lot of writing very fast. I
finally get

The error was:
version.h.pl: version.h.pl: version.h.pl: version.h.pl:
version.h.pl: version.h.pl: version.h.pl: Can't locate

make: *** [spamc/Makefile] Error 2
  /usr/bin/make  -- NOT OK
Running make test
  Can't test without successful make
Running make install
  make had returned bad status, install seems impossible

So I checked for make:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /usr/src/Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.3]# which make
/usr/bin/make

:-O?

Trying 'perl Makefile.PL' I get

Warning: prerequisite Digest::SHA1 0 not found.
Warning: prerequisite HTML::Parser 3.24 not found.
Writing Makefile for Mail::SpamAssassin
Makefile written by ExtUtils::MakeMaker 6.17
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /usr/src/Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.3]#

These are the two modules I have installed already under the
CPAN setup. Is it them or is it me? All was done as root, not
user. Do I have to make Perl suid?
