Probably, as it pertains to printing graphics. Why on earth do you wish to skip these important graphics building blocks? Especially libjpeg and libpng? I can understand if you are building a server which won't have X installed on it. However, you've posted recently about issues with LessTif, Xpdf and the Thunderbird Enigmail extension, hence my comment above. Chances are if you have X installed, you already installed libpng as it is a required dependency. > Regarding LPRng-3.8.28 whether it has to be installed simultaneously. > OR I can select either of them. Either/or. They both provide LPR functionality. I use CUPS because I need to interface with printers on Windows machines via Samba. -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 09:42:00 up 160 days, 9:15, 3 users, load average: 0.27, 0.09, 0.19 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
