If you're new to editing fb styles then I suggest opening up a couple of terminals and copying/pasting different parts that you think you might like. I definitely wouldn't expect styles (even "default" styles) to have everything laid out "the right way", especially those you've downloaded from freshmeat. If you don't have the necessary fonts you can add them by placing them in a font dir and running the appropriate commands (fc-cache, mkfontdir, mkfontscale, etc.) Not sure if you want them system wide or local to your user. You can expect things with fluxbox to change, especially since the "stable" version is very old and not recommended for use, and the recommended version is the "development", which of course is subject to change without notice :) Good luck!
