I am considering accepting a contract to provide backup data services to small companies that require HIPAA conformance. I've done some introductory investigation into the electronic data requirement and am quickly being mired in tons of legalese.
The companies that are seeking this service are too small to have HIPAA compliance officers, so I'll be trudging along on my own. I have yet to determine just how specific/generic the regs are as far as implementation goes. If anyone has had to travel this path before, I would appreciate it if you could drop me a private email so we can discuss it.
