Where did you install zlib, specially the headers
file? It seems that the compiler can't find them.
I have followed the steps mentioned in LFS Book-6.1.1
and have installed zlib in /usr.
What is the result of "ls /usr/lib/libz.*" and "ls /usr/include/zlib.h"?
