Hi I don't understand anything about DVD films, but I have to configure a system for playback of commercial DVD films. I've installed libdvdcss and xine-lib, the films will be played with Totem. However starting the DVD playback fails: Totem complains that it cannot handle /media/cdrom/VIDEO_TS/video_ts.bup (no appropriate plugin installed). Regardless of this error, it still plays one of the test DVDs, but not the other. Strangely all file names in VIDEO_TS/ of that other DVD (wchich is completely unplayable) are suffixed with ;? which I cannot understand. Also Totem kindly plays all .vob files found in the DVDs' VIDEO_TS directories. So I'm out of ideas, but would like to get that DVD thing working or the system's user may begin to think about installing some m$ products.
