Thanks for the pointer, Ken.  I've been scared to upgrade, and I
thought those were valid reasons.  Sorry for spreading FUD.  I also
rarely use hotplug, so those reasons aren't that valid for me either.

Anyway, I think I'll wait another week or so to see how things shake
out with Jim's udev work and the branch Matt's creating.  And waiting
for any apples that fall out of the Alexander tree. :)  I think I'd
rather do all the kernel/udev/hotplug/bootscript changing at once
instead of piecemeal.
