 I don't think David ever indicated which version of LFS he was
building on, but this sounds a possibility (since nobody else is
seeing the problem).

 FWIW I've built 3.5.2 (x86) on a version of the old udev_update
branch of LFS from late March, using flex-2.5.33, bison-2.1,
libmng-1.0.9 (and yes, you probably _do_ want libmng if you use
konqueror as a web browser), with qt 3.3.5.
