If I run, for example, glxinfo with Mesa GL libraries without running X I get
error message
Error: unable to open display (null)
But if run glxinfo with NVidia GL libraries I get segmentation fault with or
without running X. I don't think this is correct behavior. Program may not
use GL or X functions at all, but if it simply linked with GL libraries it
crush with segmentation fault.

The same problem on i386 and 2.6.16 is not early 2.6 kernel.
