i think it som bug on hotplug and older version of udev because
I had the same problem whith my ADSL modem sagem fast 800 when i start
whith LFS 6.1 so i removed hotplug, installed the new kernel-2.6.17 and
udev 0.94
i did some change on the bootscript and now it works very Fine. :)
