how to copy/paste

Could someone inform me on the keystrokes for copy/paste using the mouse 
in virtual terminals? This is from the suggestion in the lfs-book for 
using lynx and gpm to work with the commands in the blfs-book. I have 
tried the usual and some trial and error but have only mucked up the 
vt.  Thanks, Arden
